Jammu and Kashmir, India Jul 20, 2026 ALN: The Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council recently conducted in-house swimming selection trials at the MA Stadium Swimming Pool in Jammu. This event aimed to select the Union Territory team for the upcoming 42nd Sub Junior National Aquatic Championships (Swimming).
A significant number of promising swimmers from across Jammu & Kashmir participated in the trials, showcasing their talent and determination in various events. The selection process was strictly based on timings and adhered to the rules and qualifying standards set by the Swimming Federation of India.
The swimmers selected during these trials will represent Jammu & Kashmir at the national championships, which are scheduled to be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, from August 6 to 9, 2026.
The Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu, of the J&K Sports Council expressed appreciation for the enthusiastic participation and competitive spirit displayed by the swimmers. He conveyed confidence that the selected athletes would perform to the best of their abilities and bring laurels to the Union Territory at the national championship.
