The Bantwal Police have registered cases against social media accounts identified as Troll Master, Udaif Anakkal, Hiba Fathima, Padmaraj, Aliya Alifa, Shailaja Amarnath, Chetan Belchada, Harsha K. Shetty, and Kiran Aradhya. This action underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to monitor and regulate social media content that could incite violence or communal disharmony, especially in areas with a history of such issues.

Police officials emphasized the necessity of these measures, stating, "Given the communally sensitive nature of the region, we cannot take any chances. The action comes in the wake of the brutal murder of Lavanya, a resident of Kakyapadavu, who was employed at a private nursing home in Kalladka.
