Father and Son Arrested for Assaulting Lawyer and Client in Morjim

New Delhi, India Jul 19, 2026 ALN: The Mandrem Police have arrested a man and his son and booked eight unidentified others for allegedly brutally assaulting a lawyer and his elderly client at Temwada, Morjim, on July 17. The police stated that the attack was linked to a long-running legal dispute over the demolition of illegal commercial structures in the coastal regulation zone, highlighting the tensions surrounding land use and environmental regulations in Goa, a region known for its beautiful beaches and tourism-driven economy.
