Itanagar, India Jul 14, 2026 ALN: ITANAGAR, 13 Jul: The police here claimed to have cracked a daylight robbery case at a commercial establishment in the capital, arresting all three accused after a three-week investigation, a senior officer said on Monday.

Capital Superintendent of Police (SP) Jummar Basar stated that the breakthrough came through sustained fieldwork, advanced technical analysis, and close inter-district coordination. This incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement in addressing violent crimes in urban areas, particularly in regions where economic disparities can lead to desperate measures.

The incident occurred on 22 June at around 11 am at a shop located in Gandhi Market, Itanagar. According to the police, two individuals entered the shop under the pretext of viewing CCTV footage for alleged lost items.
