New Police Outpost and Community Library Inaugurated in Dem

Itanagar, India Jul 22, 2026 ALN: In a bid to strengthen community-oriented policing and expand public outreach, a police outpost and a community library, ‘Sangam Centre’, were inaugurated at Dem in Keyi Panyor district on Tuesday, officials said.

The integrated facility was inaugurated by Keyi Panyor DC Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta in presence of senior civil and police officials, local HODs and student leaders. This event marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to enhance the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve, particularly in remote areas where access to services may be limited.
