Discover the top MagSafe wireless chargers for your iPhone and Qi2 Android devices, featuring stands, pads, and power banks for convenient charging.

Keeping your iPhone topped up can be a challenge, but the best MagSafe wireless chargers employ a clever magnetic system, so you don’t need to fumble with cables or worry about a wireless charging sweet spot. Apple’s MagSafe is an accessory system integrated into the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, iPhone 16, and iPhone 17 range (excluding the iPhone 16e). A ring of magnets on the back of the phone (and in MagSafe-enabled cases) allows you to attach MagSafe chargers that can recharge your iPhone wirelessly. This innovation has made charging more intuitive and user-friendly, catering to the evolving needs of smartphone users who seek convenience in their daily routines.

MagSafe is now interchangeably used with Qi2. While iPhones are compatible with Qi2, so are some Android phones, such as the Google Pixel 10 series (you can also pair an Android phone with a MagSafe case). The introduction of Qi2 has broadened the landscape of wireless charging, allowing for a wider range of devices to benefit from the convenience of magnetic charging. Snag a Qi2 or MagSafe wireless charger for your nightstand, work desk, and car, and you can easily top up throughout the day. This flexibility is particularly advantageous for users with multiple devices, as it reduces the need for different charging solutions. These are the best Qi2 and MagSafe chargers we've tested (we'll list the compatibility for each recommendation).

More Good MagSafe and Qi2 Chargers

Striking the perfect balance between heft and magnetism is tricky, but Nomad nails it with the Stand One. It's heavy enough that you won’t knock it over when you fumble for your phone, and you can peel it away from the charger one-handed. The stand comes in black or white and feels sturdy, featuring an aluminum-and-glass body with rubber padding. I use this to charge my Google Pixel 10 Pro XL at top speed, and it can do the same for iPhones. Nomad previously released MagSafe and Qi2 versions of this stand, but the latest model I’m recommending here supports Qi2 25W to offer the maximum 25-watt wireless charging speed. There's also a rear 5-watt Qi charging pad for AirPods, making it a versatile option for users with multiple devices.

It can get a little warm when charging, but not unusually so. A slight increase in temperature is common for wireless charging devices, as the energy transfer process generates heat. You get a high-quality braided USB-C charging cable in the box, but you will need a 40-watt power adapter. I like the 45W Anker Nano Charger, but I can’t help feeling Nomad should have included one at this price. The omission of a power adapter may be a drawback for some users, as it adds an additional cost and consideration when purchasing the charger.

What Is MagSafe and Qi2?

MagSafe is a magnetic charging system developed by Apple, while Qi2 is a universal standard for wireless charging that supports various devices. Both systems allow for efficient and convenient charging without the need for cables. The MagSafe system offers a unique advantage with its magnetic alignment, ensuring that the device is positioned correctly for optimal charging. This feature minimizes the common issues associated with traditional wireless chargers, where users often have to adjust the device to find the correct charging spot.

The development of MagSafe has significantly influenced the wireless charging market. With its introduction, Apple not only improved the charging experience for its users but also set a new standard for how wireless charging should be executed. The magnetic alignment feature is particularly beneficial in reducing user frustration, as it eliminates the need for precise placement that is often required with standard Qi chargers. This innovation has paved the way for other manufacturers to adopt similar technologies, enhancing the overall user experience across various devices.

What Is StandBy Mode?

StandBy mode allows your iPhone to display useful information while charging in a horizontal position, turning it into a smart display for notifications, time, and more. This functionality enhances the user experience by transforming the charging process into a more interactive and informative one. Users can glance at their device for updates without needing to pick it up, making it particularly useful in scenarios where users may be multitasking or engaged in other activities.

StandBy mode is a prime example of how technology is evolving to meet user needs. As smartphones become more integral to daily life, features like StandBy mode help users stay connected and informed without interrupting their workflow. This feature is especially relevant in a world where multitasking is common, allowing users to maximize their productivity while keeping their devices charged and ready for use.

How I Test MagSafe Chargers

Testing involves evaluating charging speed, compatibility with various devices, and overall user experience to ensure the best recommendations. Each charger is assessed based on its performance in real-world scenarios, taking into account factors such as ease of use, design, and build quality. This thorough testing process ensures that the recommendations provided are reliable and meet the diverse needs of users.

During the testing phase, I also consider the long-term usability of each charger. Factors such as durability, heat generation during charging, and how well the charger maintains its performance over time are crucial in determining its overall value. Additionally, user feedback is gathered to understand common pain points or advantages that may not be immediately apparent during testing. This comprehensive approach ensures that the chargers recommended are not only efficient but also user-friendly and reliable for everyday use.

In conclusion, whether you are looking for a reliable charger for your iPhone or a versatile option for your Android device, these MagSafe and Qi2 chargers offer excellent performance and convenience for everyday use. The evolution of charging technology continues to shape the way users interact with their devices, making it essential to stay informed about the best available options. As wireless charging becomes increasingly prevalent, investing in a high-quality charger is a wise choice for anyone looking to enhance their smartphone experience.

With the rapid advancement of technology, it is likely that we will see even more innovations in the wireless charging space in the coming years. As manufacturers continue to refine their designs and improve charging speeds, users can expect more options that cater to their specific needs, whether it be for home use, travel, or office environments. The integration of smart features, such as compatibility with smart home systems or enhanced safety measures, will further enhance the user experience and make wireless charging a standard practice for smartphone users worldwide.
